In the year since commencing this project baby steps have been achieved. Export licenses to check any restrictions have been investigated and cleared - there are no blocks to exporting foliage or flowers from Timor Leste. What we need now is the ability to employ a project manager 'on the ground' in Dili and to forge partnerships with orchid bulb growers and suppliers. With the demise of OzAid, partnerships that we had started to develop have dried up. We are currently investigating crowd funding opportunity with Start Some Good as well as connecting with those currently running similar projects in Timor Leste.
